Jury finds Kennewick man guilty of killing his wife

KENNEWICK – A Benton County jury found Brian Lynn Wilcox, 69, of Kennewick guilty of second-degree murder and first-degree arson Friday. The victim was his wife, Kathy Wilcox. In addition, the jury also found Wilcox guilty of using a firearm in the commission of the murder.
The defendant was located in Del City, Oklahoma and arrested without incident in connection to the Kennewick house fire that occurred on the 1400 block of Elm Street on April 25, 2022.
Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Eisinger said the defendant remains in custody in the Benton County Jail on a no-bail hold. A sentencing date has not been set.
