GRANT/HARNEY COUNTIES – It was previously reported that as of May 20th, the Grant and Harney County Circuit Courts have been mailing out jury summons in a new postcard format. In fact, each judicial district in Oregon has switched to the postcard summons format. District 24 Circuit Court Judge Rob Raschio was recently on KJDY’s Coffee Time and mentioned that the response for jury duty has been low this go-around:

“We understand that if you are now realizing you got one of these cards and threw it away, and that you’re responding late, no big deal—just please respond. We end up sending summons out to 400 people each term and this time, we’ve only received 60 responses, which is not enough people for us to be able to hold the number of jury trials that we’re going to be holding over the next three months.”
