BAKER COUNTY – $2,000 dollars has been donated to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office for the Deputy Daisy K9 Program.   The donation came from Idaho Power and was presented to Baker County Sheriff Ash, Deputy Mills and Deputy Daisy by Itsy Tanaka, Power Plant Regional Operations Manager.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, “an additional $500 was donated through the Idaho Power Employees’ Community Fund and was presented by employee Dustin DelCurto, President of the Local Area Group (Hells Canyon, Cambridge and Halfway). These funds come from employee and retiree contributions and are matched by IDACORP.”

The Sheriff’s Office notes that Deputy Daisy had a wonderful time visiting Idaho Power and meeting all of the employees.  They also want to share special thanks to Sharon Stutzman, Departmental Specialist for the Hells Canyon Complex, for reaching out and being incredibly supportive of the K9 project.
