Hundreds of local FFA members represent their schools at state convention

EASTERN OREGON – Students and Future Farmers of America from Eastern Oregon joined thousands of others from across Oregon at the 96th annual Oregon FFA State Convention, held March 21-24 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds.

The event gives students a chance to meet other chapters, as well as immerse themselves in educational and career opportunities in the agricultural industry.

Awards and honors were also handed out,  with the Baker FFA Chapter earning the Superior Chapter Award and Hunter Bingham from North Powder being named the 2024-2025 Oregon FFA Secretary and Spencer Romans from Nyssa being named Vice President.  Abbie Wilks of Pendleton won for Creed Speaking,
