Holiday reminder to hunters, report tags by January 31

OREGON – With the new year fast approaching, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is once again reminding hunters to report all 2023 hunts. This applies to anyone that purchased a 2023 deer, elk, cougar, bear, pronghorn, or turkey tag, regardless of if they were successful or even hunted at all.

Hunters that fail to report by the deadline will be issued a $25 dollar penalty to be paid with the purchase of any hunting for licenses two years following the failed deadline. Only a single penalty will be issued, regardless of the number of unreported tags.

Hunters can report their tags online through the MyODFW portal, visit an ODFW license agent, or visit an ODFW office in person.
