Harney County resident arrested and charged with Assault II

Harney County (Released bu Harney County Sheriff’s Office)-On May 21, 2023, law enforcement was called to a residence on Highway 20 West for a domestic disturbance.
It was reported that Darnel Johnson hit a family member with a rock, causing injury. Johnson left prior to law enforcement’s arrival and was later located in Burns.
Johnson was arrested for Assault II. The case remains under investigation.
Agencies involved include Harney County Sheriff’s Office and Burns Police Department.
