Harney County locals team up with Vale District for another round in Missouri

HARNEY COUNTY(Released by Burns Interagency Fire Zone)-Recently, BIFZ’s Devin Johnson and Garrick Steinhoff teamed up with firefighters from the Vale District for another round in Missouri.

Together they worked on wildfires 563, 605, Renault, Gobbler, Parker, and Backbone, and the Sweeny prescribed fire, among others. This was a busy assignment with day and night shifts, saw work, leaf litter backburning, equipment work, line preparation/holding/strengthening, direct attack, etc. No rest for the weary!
