RICHLAND, Washington – The Richland Police Department reports a group of 10 to 12 juveniles and young adults boarded a small cruise ship docked at Howard Amon Park around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police said there was a brief scuffle with the ship’s crew and the group was sent back on shore where they attempted to disappear into a large crowd. Two involved suspects were detained. One juvenile was turned over to a parent and an adult was booked into the Benton County Jail for trespassing and making false statements.

The ship’s captain advised the U.S. Coast Guard so it could review the incident.
