GRANT COUNTY – CASA of Eastern Oregon’s Grant County Program Director Christina Barnhart-Speakman recently informed KJDY listeners that there are currently 13 children in the care system within the county. Speakman-Barnhart said the children would be better represented if Grant County had double the number of our current advocates:

“We have currently thirteen cases, and two of those are pending. We have about six CASA volunteers right now, so that does leave us about 5 cases without CASAs. We are definitely looking to add to our CASA family and get some people through training as soon as possible.”
