EOU heads into the New Year ranked at number 20

LA GRANDE – The New Year is here and a new edition of the NAIA Men’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top-20 Poll has been released. Eastern Oregon University continues to be ranked, checking in at No. 20. The Mountaineers slipped three spots from No. 17 in the third edition of the top-20 rankings. A trio of grapplers are nationally ranked as well in Keegan Mulhill at 174 pounds, Kyle Knudtson at 184 pounds, and Noel Orozco at 285 pounds. Orozco has the highest ranking at No. 2 in the NAIA for the heavyweight class. Knudtson is next up at fifth for 184 pounds, while Mulhill owns the No. 9 ranking at 174 pounds. The Mountaineers will be back in action on Jan. 7 and 8 for a pair of road duals. They take on Arizona Christian on Jan. 7 at 4 p.m. PT, followed by Embry-Riddle on Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. PT.
