Eight Mounties Earn Daktronics Scholar-Athlete Honors for Softball

LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes with 1,131 student-athletes recognized. Eastern Oregon had eight players earn the honor.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
The eight Mounties who earned the award are listed below:
- Mckenna Stallings, Senior
- Kaylin Winans, Grad Student
- Maddy Stateler, Senior
- Hannah Ebner, Sophomore
- Addison Ribordy, Junior
- Karly Hanosky, Senior
- Kaylie Hoskins, Sophomore
- Gates Leatherwood, Senior
