Dayville School, among others, receives bomb threat

DAYVILLE – The following is a press release from Grant County Sheriff’s Office:

(Press Release from Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley)

“In what appears to be a nationwide attempt to disrupt the education process, a large amount of similar bomb threats were received at schools around the State.

The Dayville School was evacuated and searched on December 12th, and no items of suspicious origin were found. No students or staff were at risk during this event.

All area Schools were preemptively searched, and found to be safe.

It appears the threats originated from outside the United States and is being actively tracked by the appropriate agencies.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office worked in cooperation with area Schools and the local ESD on this matter.

As a reminder, if you see something, say something. The citizens of this County are our best eyes and ears for reporting things that are out of place.”
