Crossroads Carnegie Art Center planning its first annual “Day of the Dance”

Baker City – (Release from Crossroads Carnegie Art Center) Crossroads Carnegie Art Center is planning its first “Day of the Dance” Celebration as part of National Day of Dance on September 17th in the Powder River Pavilion in Geiser Pollman Park in Baker City. Crossroads is currently inviting local and regional dance groups/clubs/or talented individual to join the daylong celebration of Dance.

Crossroads is wanting to showcase a wide variety of dance styles to showcase the artistry,

fun, physical benefits, and great sense of community that can be created by dancing. We ask anyone interested to contact Ginger Savage, Executive Director at 541-523-5369 or ginger@crossroads-arts.org.

“Crossroads is excited to host a Day of the Dance event this year. We are wanting to find local

dance groups including square dance, line or country dance, couples or individuals who dance a

specific style, dance clubs who can showcase unique dance styles. Contact us and we will get you on the schedule for this fun, free, family event in the park. We know there are lots of talented people in our region who are not professionals’ dancers but who can showcase dance- and that it keeps you moving and active at any age. Crossroads does have a limited budget to help with some transportation costs and with thanks to the DE and Jane Clark Foundation we have funds to bring Asian- American, Pacific Islander or Native American dance groups to join us.
