Contract negotiations to begin with John Day City Manager candidate

JOHN DAY – Here’s a quick update on the John Day City Manager selection process. Both Mayor Heather Rookstool and Councilor Eric Bush has informed our newsroom that the City Council has voted to direct their recruiting consultant to begin negotiating contract terms with one of the current candidates, though a name has not yet been released.
The candidates for John Day City Manager are Sandra Bohnenkamp Patterson, Matthew Lenz, Melissa Bethel, and Marc Howatt.
The John Day City Council is expected to meet again for their regularly scheduled fourth Tuesday meeting on October 24th at the John Day Fire Hall.
