LA GRANDE – After being closed for the last two months due to a massive remodel and expansion, Community Kindness of Eastern Oregon is back open starting today.

Community Kindness of Eastern Oregon is a non-profit thrift that will uses its profits to assist individuals & organizations within the community.

The store is operated by Liz and Grant Meyer and has been a staple in downtown La Grande since their opening in 2019.  Volunteers help with the day-to-day operations of the store doing things like cleaning and restocking.

This is the second expansion of Community Kindness of Eastern Oregon since they opened up.  The first expansion was the acquisition of the second window space adjacent to the original location.

The current expansion involved acquiring the full upper level of the building.  This area is now a full clothing boutique filled with clothes for men, women and children.  A wall of neck ties lines one wall and in the far corner is an area with formal wear.

Liz said that her hopes is that the business continues to be an asset to downtown, and a destination for everyone to come visit, shop & enjoy. Noting how thankful she and Grant are for everyone’s support, love and friendship.

Community Kindness of Eastern Oregon is again accepting donations for the store and need volunteers.  Contact Liz at 541-605-0340 for information on to get involved.
