Community invited to open house for 10th student-built home

HERMISTON(News release from the Hermiston School District) The Columbia Basin Student Homebuilders Program (CBSHP) cordially invites the community to an open house at 855 SW Angus Court in Hermiston. This is an opportunity to see the 2024 student-built home, a project that high school students from Hermiston, Umatilla, and Stanfield have diligently worked on through the Career Technical Program. The open house is scheduled for Thursday from 3-6 p.m.

The students, not just passive participants but active contributors, were deeply involved in every aspect of the home’s creation. They left their mark on this project, from the concept and design to the construction, landscaping, and oversight. Several community business partners supported their dedication and hard work, making this a true community effort.

The newest home has the following amenities:
