COLLEGE PLACE – A traffic stop performed on a vehicle with no rear taillights by a College Place police officer on Sunday led to a warrant arrest, fentanyl, and a gun.

An officer recognized Miguel A. Reyes, 30, of Walla Walla, who was a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle as an individual who had a warrant for his arrest.

Once Reyes was taken into custody, drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle. A search turned up 31 fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, and a firearm located within an arm’s reach of where Reyes was seated earlier.

Reyes, who has eight previous felony convictions, was confirmed to have a felony warrant for his arrest due to a Department of Corrections violation.
