Children can enter the “If I Were Mayor” Contest

BAKER CITY – What would your child do it they were Mayor? Baker City Mayor Beverly Calder is encouraging youth in the Baker City area to participate in the If I Were Mayor Contest that is put on by the Oregon Mayors Association.
There are three age groups for participation.
Grades 4-5 Make a Poster
Grades 6-8 Compose an Essay
Grades 9-12 Film a Video
All participants compete for a cash prize and winners go on to compete in a state competition.
