PENDLETON – The Pendleton Chamber of Commerce, Round-Up and Happy Canyon, Pendleton Underground Tours and a host of local businesses are working to coax tourists back to the Round-Up City this summer.

“Let’s Get Wild in Pendleton” kicks off June 5 and offers a host of experiences. There are tours of the Round-Up Grounds, poker playing in the city’s underground, and even horseback and wagon rides.

The Round-Up tours, for which tickets are required, even includes a visit to the Let ’er Buck Room. The wagons at the Round-Up Grounds will head downtown when the tours end at 1:30 p.m. where rides will be offered. Horseback rides are also on the menu. There will also be free live music on Main Street on Saturdays.

“Something a little bit different, we’re going to rotate blocks,” Chamber CEO Cheri Rosenberg said. “We’ll start at the 400 block next weekend, Saturday, June 5.” Cale Moon of Enterprise will take the stage in the first concert. Also booked in future weeks are the Coyote Kings, the Wasteland Kings, the Hankers, and Imperial Twang.
