Bystander shot outside Ontario bar during fight

ONTARIO — A person was injured in an early morning shooting outside of an Ontario bar. 

The Ontario Police Department says it responded to reports of gunfire at Rusty’s Lounge in the early hours of April 19th. Officers arrived at the scene around 2:35 a.m.

According to police, a fight erupted between two men outside the lounge, which escalated into gunfire. At least two shots were fired, one of which struck a male who police say was not actively involved in the altercation. The victim sustained an upper torso injury while seated inside a vehicle.

Police say the injured individual was driven to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and they were later discharged from medical care.
