Burglary in Hines Oregon leads to 20 months in jail

Harney County, Or (Released by Harney County District Attorney’s Office)-July 22, 2022 Joshua Longo sentenced to 20 months after pleading guilty to Burglary in the
Second Degree.
The sentence stems from a theft on North Saginaw Avenue, Hines between March 14 and March 15,
2022.
On March 15, Faith Baptist Church reported a cold burglary to law enforcement. It was reported to local
law enforcement that a door was left open, and that a laptop was stolen. Surveillance footage showed
an individual wearing distinct clothing. Later during the day of March 15, local law enforcement was
patrolling and observed an individual wearing the same clothing shown in the footage. The officer
stopped the individual and recognized him as Joshua Longo. The stolen laptop was located in Joshua
Longo’s backpack and recovered.
Harney County District Attorney Ryan Hughes prosecuted the case. A grand jury indicted on charges of
Burglary in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.
Longo pled guilty to Burglary in the Second Degree and sentenced to 20 months Oregon Department of
Corrections pursuant to Ballot Measure 57 passed by voters in 2008.
