Blue and Gold Weekend returns to Eastern Oregon University

LA GRANDE –(Release from Eastern Oregon University) EOU students, alumni and friends are invited to celebrate springtime on campus at the second annual Blue and Gold Weekend on May 13 and 14 in La Grande.
After a two year hiatus, EOU Athletics is excited to put together a fun weekend that promises something for everyone and all ages.
“It’s about building connections and engagements with our community, alumni and students,” Athletic Director Anji Weissenfluh said.
On Friday afternoon, there will be a live DJ as well as a spike ball tournament, barbecue, and other events for students to participate in.
Events on Saturday will include a Family Fun Fest, Tailgate Zone, Beer Garden, Cornhole Tournament, Soccer Alumni Games, and a Spring (inter-squad) Football Game.
EOU Athletics will also add a fundraising component to the weekend with a Silent Auction hosted in the Mary Horn Centsable Wealth Management Tailgate Zone. The auction will feature a range of items that have been donated to EOU Athletics.
Local businesses sponsoring the weekend include Lana Anderson, broker, of Blue Summit Realty Group, Teri Champlin, loan originator, of Fairway Mortgage.
