Baker County Sheriff’s Office investigating animal abandonment case, two dogs remain missing

BAKER COUNTY – (Release from Baker County Sheriff’s Office) In a Facebook post on Friday, May 3, the Baker County Sheriff’s Office says it is conducting an investigation into a report of animal abandonment, and a suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.

Five dogs were dumped in the area of Highway 7 and Tipton Summit. Three dogs have been recovered and are safe. Volunteers from Best Friends of Baker, Inc. and New Hope for Eastern Oregon Animals continue to search the area for the remaining two dogs.
