Baker City has one open council seat

BAKER CITY – The Baker City Council is down to six members with the resignation of City Councilor Heather Sells. According to Baker City Manager Jonathan Cannon, the council will be “reviewing how they would like to proceed with filling the vacancy at their regular meeting.”
Anyone who is interested in the position is asked to reach out to a city councilor. Cannon noted that. last time Council needed to fill a vacancy they requested applicants fill out an application and submit the application to the City Recorder at cityrecorder@bakercity.gov. Applications can be found on www.bakercity.com or by emailing the City Recorder. They also requested applicants attend the city council meeting where applications were under review.
