JOHN DAY – Painted Sky Center for the Arts Board Director Kim Randleas, along with the center’s new Executive Director Valerie Munion, were on KJDY’s Coffee Time and explained that their after-school art program has the children learning about art in unique ways:
“KIM: They’re learning about art, and it’s a really specific curriculum. They’re working their brains to learn the craft—and it’s not just cut-and-paste, or quick projects for kids that they often get.
VALERIE: It’s a little bit beyond ‘craft projects’ for their age.”
