72-year-old man is in custody for alleged bank robbery

KENNEWICK – Keith Foster, 72, of Kennewick was taken into custody at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, less than four hours after he allegedly robbed the Chase Bank branch, 30 Vista Way, in Kennewick.

The Kennewick Police Department said detectives tracked Foster to the 3300 block of West Ninth Avenue in Kennewick.

Foster allegedly entered the bank wearing a mask at 11:47 a.m. and handed the bank teller a note demanding all the money in the register. The teller complied and Foster fled on foot.

Evidence associated with the incident, including all the currency has been recovered.  KPD said detectives executed a search warrant at the residence where they took Foster into custody. The investigation is ongoing. Foster has been booked into the Benton County Jail for first-degree robbery.
