USDA Farm Service Agency’s General CRP deadline quickly approaching

UNION COUNTY – A reminder that the USDA Farm Service Agency’s General Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) signup deadline is Friday, March 11.  General CRP helps producers and landowners establish long-term, resource-conserving plant species, such as approved grasses or trees, to control soil erosion, improve water quality and enhance wildlife habitat on cropland.  Producers interested in enrolling in General CRP should contact their local FSA office before close-of-business March 11.  To find a USDA Service Center/FSA office, please visit https://offices.sc.egov.usda.gov/locator/app.
